Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist competing with the Flyweight Division of UFC. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took the fight via TKO at the end of round 2. Her subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing, and took a long time off in MMA. She was back in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko beat Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina Shevchenko received a UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious via unanimous decision but was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
